LIFE GOES ON APACE, by Robert Stone

Another crash is tearing living lace.
There always is a thing that can go wrong
but small enough that life goes on apace.

The undeterred continues with the race
creating possibles, some weak, some strong.
Another crash is tearing living lace.

Relentless though the daily weary case,
the warrior notes disaster on each prong
but small enough that life goes on apace.

Undaunted courage fixed on eager face
will never recognize defeat's loud gong.
Another crash is tearing living lace.

The brave who seize each chance will leave bright trace
upon large leavings that around will throng
but small enough that life goes on apace.

Around the edges torn, love finds its place
determined to pour forth defining song.
Another crash is tearing living lace.
but small enough that life goes on apace.
